About the ECRC
The Electric City Running Club is based in Anderson, South Carolina, USA.  We are members of the Road Running
Clubs of America (RRCA).  We welcome any and all runners to join us for any of our weekend runs or signature race,
the
Electric City Gobbler 5K.  See below on how to join!

History
The ECRC was started as Moe Buccino, Mark Greenway, and Steve Feltman began running together one great
Saturday morning many years back.  As months went by, these guys invited many "lost" runners to join them for their
weekly run.  Many of our runners were past members and presidents of the Anderson Road Runners, and have
experience as race directors of the annual Midnight Flight and many other local races.  Each Saturday brings new
runners and new experiences.  At most, we have had as many as 35 runners join us for this weekend run.  Over the
years, we have trained together for every distance of race from the 5K to the marathon.  As a club, we have
experienced every form of runners high as well as every common running injury known to our great sport.  We easily
dispense our wisdom and advice to any runner that wishes to begin or advance their running knowledge.  We formed
as an official club in January of 2003, and held our first signature race on Thanksgiving Day 2004.
Saturday Run
Where: McCants Middle School track parking lot - Hwy 81/Greenville Street - Across from Publix Food Market
When: Every Saturday, 7:00 am (cold season) or 6:30am (hot season) - rain or shine

We meet for runs of varying distances and speeds.  We typically run six or nine miles.  If someone is training for a long
race, they may run longer and would certainly welcome the company.  You will generally find someone at your speed
to run with, or we will point out the routes and distances for you.
